Big box retailers and online stores alike are offering amazing deals on refrigerators, washers & dryers, vacuums, counter top appliances and other home goods such as rugs, mattresses, artwork and furniture. Wayfair for one is offering up to 70% on literally everything home related. Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart and Target as well as of course Amazon are all competing for your Presidents Day dollars with discounts of 25%-50% and higher.
Experts are predicting this year’s President’s Day sales to be bigger than in recent years due to the aftermath of a year of high inflation that ate away the salary gains many Americans made when they changed jobs, consumers put off big-ticket purchases for everyday necessities. This means the biggest discounts will be on those pricier items because evidently that’s what’s mostly left.
Also in 2022, merchandise delayed by supply chain disruptions finally arrived just as our American households were hit with four-decade high inflation, forcing them to curb spending. This left US retailers with overflowing merchandise before year-end holidays.
